As you are headed out the door this morning you will be headed out into a very wet Monday. Radar shows that rain has completely overspread the region this morning, with some areas even getting in on some moderate to heavy rainfall.
As far as morning temperatures are concerned we are actually starting off pretty warm across Southern Kentucky with most areas starting off in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Temperatures will not warm up too much as we head into the afternoon hours as we are only expecting temperatures to warm into the mid to upper 50s for our afternoon highs.
Looking ahead in the forecast just a little bit, Wednesday looks like it could be a slightly active day across the region. Because of that the Storm Prediction Center has placed a majority of our region in a Marginal (1/5) risk, and even a small section of our area under a slight (2/5) risk for severe weather.
We will have the latest on this as we get closer to Wednesday, and if severe thunderstorms do occur, make sure that you are following closely for any watches, warnings, or advisories that may be issued.
