Rainfall has been moving throughout the region this morning making for a pretty soggy day around Southern Kentucky. Rainfall amounts have not been too heavy with a majority of the region receiving around a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain.
Temperatures around the region are currently in the mid to upper 40s, and with the lack of sunshine today we will not warm up too much later this afternoon, with high temperatures only warming into the upper 50s.
Long term over the next 8-14 days the Climate Prediction Center is expecting both above average readings for temperature and for precipitation. The good news for us is that with that we will see warmer temperatures, so it will feel like spring is in the air, but with the above average precipitation we will see a continuation of the soggy conditions that we have been seeing over the last several weeks.
