As you are waking up this morning you are waking up to a blanket of light snow across the region. If you are going to be heading out this morning you will need to use caution as some slick spots are likely on main roads with side roads being potentially snow covered. You will want to make sure to give yourselves extra time on your AM commute.
Some light snow is still falling across the region, this will not add too much to the overall snowfall from this system but it will help to make traveling this morning just a little bit more inconvenient.
Temperatures around the region have fallen into the upper 20s across most of the region. These temperatures are what is allowing for the slick spots that we are seeing on area roadways this morning.
Temperatures this afternoon will warm up above freezing, this should allow for a majority of the snow that we received to melt off allowing for much safer travel conditions by the drive home.
