Today has been a pretty good day across the region for the most part with temperatures warming very nicely into the mid to upper 70s across the region. With no precipitation it was a very nice day to be outside in your yard if you had to get some yard work done.
The next couple of days will bring with them a couple chances for some severe weather. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the area in a Slight (1/5) risk for severe weather for both your Tuesday as well as portions of the area on Wednesday.
This is the time of year where we will see our severe thunderstorm risks happen on a fairly regular basis. The main threats with these systems will be damaging winds and large hail, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
Make sure that you know and understand your severe weather action plan and review it with your family so that you know what to do if a warning is issued for your area over the next couple of days.
We will have the latest information regarding these severe weather threats as we get closer and we get any more updates from the Storm Prediction Center.
