Today will be another dry day across Southern Kentucky, and we will begin to see warmer temperatures this afternoon as high temperatures are expected to warm into the upper 50s to near 60° under sunny skies!
Clouds will be on the increase on your Thursday ahead of our next weather maker that will move in on Friday bringing with it a chance for Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms. Confidence is still low but the potential for a few severe thunderstorms is still there for Saturday. We will continue to monitor it as we get closer to the system moving in.
Our main concern with this system is the heavy rain. We have already seen quite a bit of rain this January so with heavy rain anticipated with this system there will be a risk of flooding. Right now would be a good time to think about those locations that are prone to flooding so that you can make plans to avoid those areas this weekend.
